AST Hampsons – Looking Back at 2025

From celebrating new appointments within the firm to abseiling down the Trafford Palazzo, as we move towards the end of the first month of 2026, we look back at some key milestones and events from 2025.

During the past year we have seen colleagues set out on new paths and welcomed five new starters. We also celebrated the return of two members of our team from maternity leave and supported over eight colleagues as they progressed through their legal qualifications.

To further support our charities, we held free Will months for Springhill Hospice (who we are proud to be a Business Buddy for) and raised a total of £4,222.62 from our events held in memory of Peter Taylor. We also continued to work with Bury Hospice and Francis House.

At the start of the year, we were delighted to announce the promotion of Joanne Ford to Partner. Joanne has been with AST Hampsons since 2016 and has developed the Court of Protection Department and is now head of the Court of Protection team.  Joanne’s dedication and specialist knowledge has been invaluable to AST Hampsons’ growth, so we were thrilled to welcome her as a partner within the team.

In March, we were thrilled to announce that Gemma Worthington passed her paralegal course with distinction and qualified as a Court of Protection Paralegal. This impressive accomplishment came as no surprise to those who have witnessed Gemma's dedication and hard work over the time she has been with the firm. Well done, Gemma!

In April, we celebrated Angie Dickinson being a loyal employee for 25 years. Thank you for all your hard work and your commitment to AST Hampsons over the years Angie! A fantastic achievement.

As we headed into the summer, members of staff took part in AST’s ‘Big Drop’ by bravely abseiling down the Trafford Palazzo at the Trafford Centre. The team raised an incredible £2,604 for Springhill Hospice. Well done to everyone who took part!

In August, after many years working with AST Hampsons as a Licensed Conveyancer, we were delighted to announce the appointment of Helen O’Sullivan to Partner. The promotion was a very well-deserved recognition for all Helen’s efforts and consistent support to the firm and her clients.

We also said congratulations to Sundee (Paralegal in our Commercial team) who obtained a distinction in her End Point Assessment for her CILEX result. We are very proud of Sundee’s hard work and commitment.

The AST Summer Party also took part this month, which was one of our beloved former Senior Partner’s, Peter Taylor’s, final wishes. Peter wanted to treat everyone to a party and a great time on him. The day was incredibly special with so many familiar faces from past and present, along with friends and family of the firm attending and sharing their memories. A truly wonderful way to remember Peter. The event also raised £1,618.62 for Springhill Hospice.

Thank you to our clients, colleagues and of course our incredible staff for your continued support during the year. We are looking forward to making many more memories in 2026!
