ADR, or Alternative Dispute Resolution to give its full name, is a method of trying to resolve legal issues without the need for Court intervention or, if Court intervention is unavoidable, to pin down the core issues that need to be resolved through the method of negotiation. This is sometimes the preferred way of achieving resolution to issues as it is cost effective, confidential, it can be legally binding and can protect you from future court intervention.
