James Taylor

Partner - Head of Residential Property Department

I joined the firm in January 2005 as a Trainee Solicitor and became a Partner of the firm in July 2011.  I now head up our Residental Property department across our branches and am also part of our Commercial Department.

On the residential side, I deal with all property matters both in the local area and further a field and very much enjoying making a house move as stress free as possible.

Myself and my team in our Bury office also deal with many new build properties (to include the Help to Buy Scheme) and work closely with the country’s main developers.  This includes dealing with the variety of affordable housing & shared ownership schemes available to buyers and we are on Plumlife's panel of Solicitors for shared ownership properties.

On the commercial side, I deal with local businesses in their property and business transactions and in particular enjoy being a part of the expansion and new ventures of their businesses.

I consider myself and my team to be extremely approachable, friendly and efficient.

I am based at our Bury branch and am committed to the local community, having attended school in Bury and also living in Bury.

Away from work I enjoy both playing and watching tennis, I am a member of Lancashire County Cricket Club and I also enjoy music.
